The Keowee Sailing Club was formed in 1972, and is located on Highway 130, two miles north of US 123 in Seneca, SC on one of the most beautiful lakes in the Southeast. Our 225 active members have a love for wind, water and the magic of sailing. We share this magic by engaging in sail boat racing, pleasure cruising, skill building, social functions, and maintenance of our club. Brochure (pdf 539K)
We are a self-help sailing club, where members are expected to share in running and maintaining the club and grounds. Self-help activities range from dock building to general cleanup and committee work.
Racing consists of club races and regattas coordinated by the race and regatta committees. Special cruising and skill building activities occur throughout the year and social activites range from weekly potluck dinners to the annual Commodore’s Ball.
