2025 FLYING SCOT WIFE-HUSBAND CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA |
The Flying Scot Wife-Husband Championship is an important event on the Flying Scot class’s annual calendar. It’s one of seven championships sanctioned by the Flying Scot Sailing Association, along with their Midwinter, North American, Atlantic Coast, Womens. Juniors, and NERD championships. The 2025 edition of this regatta will be hosted by Fleet 193 at the Keowee Sailing Club on beautiful Lake Keowee at Seneca, South Carolina.
A bit of history... The Wife-Husband Regatta began many years ago at Cowan Lake, near Columbus, Ohio, home of Flying Scot Fleet No. 1. The regatta was the idea of KSC's own Sandy Eustis, then of Cowan Lake, as a way to boost attendance at the class’s 30th Anniversary Regatta. It worked!
This year's regatta will take place September 26-28, beginning with a Welcome party Friday Evening, followed by spirited competition on Saturday and Sunday. Gracious food and entertainment will be provided throughout the weekend. Keowee Sailing Club has been hosting the Flying Scot Grits and Haggis regatta for fifteen years, with a reputation for true southern hospitality, so come join us at KSC for this premier FSSA event! The regatta is limited to 40 teams, so be sure to register early to guarantee your space.
