KSC Championship Regattas
Toward the end of each year, KSC skippers compete to see who will be that year's club champion in each of four fleets:
- Open Dinghy fleet
- PHRF A Keelboat fleet
- PHRF B Keelboat fleet
- Recreational JAM (Jib and Main only) fleet
The winner of our annual Dinghy Championship regatta becomes our Dinghy champion, and the PHRF A, PHRF B and Rec fleet winners in our annual Keelboat Championship regatta become the Keelboat champions. The name of each champion is engraved on a brass plate mounted on a perpetual trophy plaque in the clubhouse.
- The Dinghy Championship typically consists of round-the-buoys racing, and is held in late September or early October before cold weather sets in.
- The Keelboat Championship typically consists of distance racing, and is held a few weeks later.
- Each regatta consists of races on Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting) - no throw-outs, every race counts.
- Dinner is provided Saturday evening.
- There is no fee for these regattas.
